OOTD: Statement Skirts!

Let’s talk about statement skirts! I have been loving wearing bold skirts lately, and this one that I’m about to show you was a Winner’s find for $40CAD! For my international readers, Winners is an off-price department store in Canada. You can find some great stuff there, and other times, you can find nothing. It really depends on the location and the day.

This skirt is a knee-length, A-line skirt with pleats all around. The color is a beautiful medium green with a texture pattern added to the fabric. It has a medium-high waist and sits comfortable on top of the hips with a black waistband. I paired this with a form fitting structured tank top tucked into the waist and basic black pumps. I really wanted the color of the skirt to shine, so I preferred to keep the rest of my outfit neutral with gold accessories.

I am looking at purchasing a couple more skirts like this because I am in love! Asos has a couple of gorgeous options like this one or this beautiful red one.

Let me know your favorite statement pieces below! Jewelry, skirts, tops, etc. I’m interested in all of your faves!

Have a great day, everyone! Enjoy your weekend!

How do you pair that with a sweater? Toronto is friggin cold! (sorry if this is a repeat, I’m not sure if my comment worked on mobile)

It hasn’t been cold recently–today is the coldest day I’ve experienced at 9C so far. I have a basic cropped black blazer that I pair with everything high-wasited. I also have a basic black blazer of a regular length that I pair with everything "normal-waisted" (lack of a better term šŸ˜› ). Basically, when I leave my house in Toronto anywhere between the months of September and November, I’m always wearing a blazer. In November, I switch to an actual coat because that’s when it gets actually cold.
