Valentine's Day Inspired Makeup Version 1!

vday_top
Hi, everyone! Today I have a look that I did inspired by Valentine’s Day. I’m going to do several posts with a Valentine’s Day theme this week because me and the boyfriend are actually celebrating it this year with a nice dinner at an Italian restaurant! Normally, we don’t tend to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day, but we didn’t get to celebrate our 5 year anniversary this year because he was sick in the hospital, so we’re making a date of it! Anyway, onto the look!

I wanted something romantic with a funky edge, so I kept the eyeshadow simple and sultry and gave the lips a pop of color. I am really loving fun lipsticks lately, and this is a great pink for me. Valentine’s Day = pink lipstick. 🙂

If you want to know what eyeshadows I used from the Jaclyn Hill palette, here is a descriptive image for you:

I am kind of thinking of doing a review for some of these things, but the new to me items in this list are the Smashbox Contour Sticks, the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Brushes palette, the Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick, and the Wet N Wild lipstick. I love them all, and am extremely happy with them.

I haven’t tried anything by Wet N Wild in so long, so to see how far they have come with their new formulas is great. I remember wearing Wet N Wild’s lipstick when I was 15 because Mila Kunis said she wore it (some brick reddish brown color that was amazing at the time). This lipstick is a beautiful color with a very creamy formula that is surprisingly longer-wearing than I was expecting.

Stay tuned for another Valentine’s Day inspired post tomorrow night! Comment below if you want me to do swatches of the Jaclyn Hill palette!

Also, remember Valentine’s Day is a day of love. It doesn’t have to be a significant other–it can be your bestie, your sibling, your parents, or even a complete stranger who might just need a hug. 🙂

Stay beautiful, dolls!

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Do you celebrate with your loved ones (boyfriend, friends, family)?

  • That lipstick colour is gorgeous – couldn’t believe it was Wet n Wild! I don’t know why I’m always so shocked by how awesome the WnW lipsticks are (because I own some pretty fantastic ones), but it’s always so awesome to see such a low cost brand pack so much colour punch.

And yeah… super envious about that Jaclyn Hill palette now…
