REVIEW: SST Cosmetics

Hello, lovelies! Today I have a review for you on a Canadian brand called SST Cosmetics. I was sent a small assortment of products from their line, and I wanted to share my thoughts about these with you.

Let’s talk eyeshadows first. I was sent two from their line. The first one is a duo called Mild. The larger color is an cream color that would work as a nice matte lid color for fairer skin tones. The smaller color is a darker, shimmery champagne color. The darker color is a very wearable shade for an all over lid color. The only negative thing about this duo is that the matte cream color seems a bit chalky in texture. I might have to play around with it a little more to see how I feel.

MILD Eyeshadow Duo
With all of that said, the lighter color in this duo sort of disappears into my skin. I’m sure it’s just the color of skin, so someone who has a darker or lighter skin tone would be able to see it.

In addition to the eyeshadow duo, I was sent this eyeshadow single in Composed. This is a medium plum-y burgundy color that I’ve been using pretty regularly on the outer corners of my eyes for a smokey plum look. I’ve been obsessed with smokey eyes using plum eyeshadows lately, so this has been getting a lot of use. The pigment of this color is great, and it’s not as chalky as the cream color in the previous eyeshadow duo.

COMPOSED Eyeshadow
In addition to the eyeshadows, I also received a couple of lip products. The first product is a lip gloss called the High Shine Lip Polish in the color Vital. This is a “your lip color but better” kind of lip gloss for me. It’s great for an everyday color with minimal makeup in the summer time when you just want to add a glow to your skin and a gloss to your lips.

I was also sent a nude lipstick called Stripped because everyone that knows me knows that I am on a serious hunt for my perfect nude lipstick. This lipstick is pretty much the exact color of my lips, which is great, but the formula is very glittery. I am not one that’s super into glittery lipsticks and glosses only because the texture feels weird for me. The color for this lipstick is nice, but it would be better suited for someone with a fair skin tone who likes glittery lipsticks.
