I grew up with decent skin. I never had acne, and I never really had anything to complain about. If I used the wrong products, I would get eczema, so I just didn’t use those products. When I moved to Canada from Florida in 2004, my skin hated the cold. It reacted to the first winter with horrible eczema that hurt so bad, I had no idea what was happening to my face. I finally got that under control and I haven’t had to deal with it since. Even though I have never grown accustomed to the winter, my skin has. I’ll take what I can get.
Fast forward to last year when I went through so much stress and a huge lifestyle change. My face broke out so bad that it was embarrassing. I finally got it under control, but it came back in December, 2015 even worse. Then, in February, 2016, I had a horrible allergic reaction to something and the entire lower right side of my face swelled up. After being on some intense prescriptions for a few weeks, my skin had finally died down, pimples went away, the swelling subsided, and the burning on the entire right side of my face disappeared. What I was left with was new scarring on top of old scars from the previous breakouts and very uneven skin. Take a look at the picture below:
I was contacted to review Sibu Sea Berry Seed Oil just as I had my allergic reaction. After I stopped taking the prescriptions, I started putting Sibu Sea Berry Seed Oil on my face at night in between my cleanser and moisturizer. There’s no added fragrance, but the natural scent of the product is a bit nutty and sweet.
On Sibu’s website, it states that this oil:
- Accelerate healing of scars and abrasions
- Soothe redness and inflammation
- Control blemishes
- Even out skintone
I applied the Sea Berry Seed Oil to my face religiously at night. Then, after a month, I decided to take after pictures of my skin.
The redness has lessened considerably and the left-over inflammation on my skin has gone way down. With continuous use, I’m sure all of the scarring around my chin area will be gone completely. I am blown away at the results, and even some of my friends and coworkers have said how much better my skin has gotten.
This product gets my stamp of approval, and I recommend anyone who has frustrating skin to give this a try. It’s fair trade, vegan, cruelty free, and organic. You can find more information or to purchase it at Sibu Beauty.
