As a member of Influenster, I received a complimentary full-size Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara to share and review with you. I’ve tested it out on long days, and I will share my thoughts with you. First up, Revlon quotes the Mega Multiplier Mascara as being an “innovative formula” that “combines fibers and 360° tube technology in one step to plump and extend lashes.” It also says that it’s flake-free, smudge proof, water resistant, and removes easily with warm water.
I tested this mascara during one of my 12-hour days when I had work and school. It’s imperative that I have long-wearing makeup and flake-free mascara on those days considering I don’t have a lot of time available for touch-ups. Below, you can see my lashes in their natural state with no mascara on.
Now look at the image below here, and you can see the left eye has the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara applied to it while the right eye is bare. There is definitely a difference in darkness of color and thickness of lashes. Unfortunately, I do not notice much of a difference in length.
I found the application of this mascara to be a little daunting as sometimes the fibers would get stringy and fall into my eyes. I have sensitive eyes, so they turn red for almost anything, and I go through bottles of eye drops on a regular basis. This was the most frustrating thing about this product for me. When taking off my makeup, I always use an oil cleanser followed by a regular cleanser, so I cannot attest to the ease of removal using only warm water. It was, however, very easy to remove using the oil cleanser. While the mascara irritated my eyes during application, my eyes were not irritated during removal.
I would recommend the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara to someone who is looking for a budget-friendly, natural-looking fiber mascara. This mascara does add a little plump of volume, but it doesn’t make them look fake or out of this world. This might be a good option in the summer time if you need a mascara for a pool party or a beach BBQ. If you’re looking for something dramatic, this wouldn’t be my recommendation for you.
