REVIEW: Becca Jet, Set, Glow! Gift

Hello, makeup lovers! Today I am telling you about the value of the Jet, Set, Glow! gift set by Becca Cosmetics. I picked this up during the Sephora VIB Rouge sale as I was out of primer and wasn’t sure which one I wanted to try. Also, I’ve tried the color corrector before, and I love it. I recently hit pan, so I figured this was a match made in heaven.

The Packaging

The outside of the packaging is promising; however, the price and value of the gift set is listed on the outside of the box. I’m located in Canada and purchased from the Canadian Sephora website. I paid $30CAD, so that is a bit misleading.

When you open up the set, the inside is a little underwhelming. There’s a sheet with some information on the products used and how to use them. This is written in many different languages, so that explains the size of this piece of paper. When you take out the actual products, they’re wrapped in a cheap silver tissue paper.

What you Receive

Inside the package, you receive travel sizes of the First Light Priming Filter Instant Complexion Refresh Primer, Backlight Priming Filter, and the Under Eye Brightening Corrector. The primers are both 15mL and the Under Eye Brightening Corrector is 2.5mL. Based on the prices of the individual products, here is a price breakdown:

  • If you were to buy all three products, you would be spending $84CAD for two mini sizes of the primers and a regular sized Under Eye Brightening Corrector
  • If we break this down by mL, you would be paying $84/35mL = $2.40 per mL
  • At $30CAD, this gift set, comes in at $30/32.5mL = $0.92 per mL

Final Thoughts

This is a very good value for this gift set, especially if you want to try something from Becca Cosmetics other than their highlighters. I wasn’t sure which primer I would like more, so I was intrigued. The packaging for this product is lackluster. If you’re going to give this as a gift, I would recommend wrapping it up with other stuff or using it as stocking stuffers. The inside value of this gift set is definitely worth it though, so I highly recommend looking into this set.
