I was very inspired by Valentine’s Day today, so if you have a hot date with your significant other, a random, or yourself, here is a makeup look for you to feel romantic and sexy. This is more glam than neutral, but I’ll have something for you neutral lovers soon! This look uses the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette. It’s the perfect palette to create a beautiful romantic look for any occasion, really. The lips are then topped off with Dose of Colors liquid lipstick in Mood. This is one of my favorite liquid lipstick formulas because it’s pigmented, smooth, and flexible with a long wear time.
The Makeup Look
I kept my face makeup fairly soft with a light contour, peachy blush (Melba by MAC), and Opal by BECCA for a highlight. I wanted most of the focus to be on the eyes and the lip color.
The Modern Renaissance Specifics
For this look, I used Warm Taupe in my crease as a soft transition color. After that, I used a small eyeshadow brush to apply TEMPERA to the inner third of my eyelid. BUON FRESCO was then used on the outer two-thirds of my eyelid. I finished off the look using a tapered eyeshadow brush with LOVE LETTER and smoked it out in a V-shape and under my lower lash line. After that, I applied Urban Decay’s TORNADO eyeliner to my upper lash line and on my waterline. I finished this up with a few coats of pür Volume Vixen Mascara.
The Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette is one of my absolute favorites. I love warm colors, and I love the soft romantic feel that it gives. The colors are very pigmented and easy to work with, and they all work well together. There’s a great combination of matte shades and shimmer shades to complement everything. This whole makeup look is great if you want to try something a bit more colorful but still romantic and soft. If the dark lipstick is too much for you, then definitely pair with your favorite nude lipstick!
Now I just need to find a sexy outfit for Valentine’s Day.
