After being sick in a bed for a few days, I was delighted to get invited to an event here in Toronto on International Women’s Day. The weather in Toronto has been up and down. Currently, it is holding at that weird temperature where you can’t dress for winter, but you can’t dress for spring. This is how I transition from winter to spring.
The event was at the trendy Drake Hotel on Queen West, and it was to celebrate womanhood and to educate women on their vaginas while benefitting Sistering, a women’s shelter. I didn’t get much footage of the event because I was taking in the information and interacting with other attendees, but I did get some outfit pictures before and after the fun event.
Dress: H&M – Boots: Toolips
Hoop Earrings: Ardene – Bracelet: Kate Spade
On International Women’s Day, what is fiercer than a fantastic leopard print? I purchased this dress a few years ago, and it’s still one of my favorites. Back in 2016, I gained some weight and it didn’t fit properly. The dress fits like a glove again after losing the gained weight this past year.
There’s something about these boots that I love so much. They’re not available anymore, and the website I bought them from isn’t even up anymore. My favorite way to pair these boots is with a short skirt or shorts. I love the way it makes my silhouette look.
The Coat and Scarf
Scarf: H&M – Coat: ASOS – Bag: Jeanne Lottie
This coat from Asos was purchased a few years ago as well. I wish it was warmer, but that’s nothing a large scarf can’t fix. I’ve had this H&M scarf for two years, and I pair it with most of my coats. It has little sequins on it to give it some sparkle.
Transitioning from different temperatures can be difficult. My favorite way to dress for this? Thigh high boots with a little leg. What are your favorite season-transitioning tips?
